Lecico Egypt Shares Trade Near 33 Egyptian Pounds as Revenue Surges 30 Percent

October 21, 2026 – Shares of Lecico Egypt hovered near 32.75 Egyptian pounds on the Egyptian Exchange during Wednesday trading as investors digested recent operational growth.
The Alexandria-based sanitary ware and tile manufacturer currently maintains a market capitalization of approximately 2.6 billion Egyptian pounds.
For macroeconomic allocators, the company's financial trajectory reflects the broader challenges facing Egyptian industrial exporters navigating cost inflation and currency volatility.
Trading desks observe that the stock remains well within its 52-week trading range of 22.82 Egyptian pounds to 37.79 Egyptian pounds, experiencing moderate daily volumes.
Quarterly Revenue and Export Volumes
The enterprise recently reported robust top-line growth, with 2nd-quarter revenue surging 30 percent to reach 2.43 billion Egyptian pounds.
This impressive revenue expansion was primarily driven by strong performance in the company's core sanitary ware segment, which saw sales volumes increase by 18 percent.
Corporate leadership highlighted that sanitary ware exports constituted a massive 77.5 percent of total segmental sales during the 3-month period.
Quantitative analysts note that the company also recorded solid growth in its tile and brassware divisions, demonstrating diversified operational resilience.
Despite the strong revenue generation, the company reported a net profit of 47.6 million Egyptian pounds for the quarter, slightly lower than the 53.1 million Egyptian pounds recorded during the same period last year.
Cost Inflation and Margin Pressures
Chief Executive Officer Taher Gargour explicitly attributed the profit contraction to severe domestic cost inflation and substantial exchange variance losses.
The strengthening of the local currency against primary export markets significantly squeezed the company's export revenues and negatively impacted bottom-line profitability.
Asset managers emphasize that the manufacturer is actively pursuing economies of scale and strict efficiency gains to offset these escalating production costs.
However, management cautioned that these internal optimizations will likely not be sufficient to fully neutralize macroeconomic pressures throughout the remainder of the year.
Equity funds project that Lecico Egypt will continue to lean heavily on its established European export channels to defend operating margins heading into 2027.
