Amplify Solana 3% Monthly Option Income ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to balance high income and capital appreciation through indirect exposure to the price return of Solana (SOL), the native cryptocurrency of the high-performance Solana blockchain. The fund employs a synthetic covered call strategy by investing in Solana exchange-traded products (ETPs), including futures and spot ETFs, and selling weekly call options approximately 5-10% out-of-the-money on a portion of its portfolio. This approach aims to generate option premiums from SOL's volatility while retaining significant upside participation, typically on 40-70% of the portfolio directly tied to SOL price movements and partial upside on the covered portion. The fund rolls options weekly to sustain premium collection and distributes income monthly. Remaining assets are held in U.S. Treasuries or cash equivalents. It provides investors access to Solana's ecosystem, known for speed, scalability, low-cost transactions, smart contracts, DeFi, and stablecoin issuance, without direct investment in SOL itself. Launched in 2025, the fund operates within the cryptocurrency-linked options income segment of the ETF market.
